Your Training Journal – Don’t Underestimate Its Power

Do you know what you’re missing out on, when you choose to ignore the power of a workout journal! A hell of a lot more than you bargained for!training diary

It is said you’re twice as likely to reach your targets when you start using one! That means right now, if you’re not using one, you’ve HALVED the chances of your success!

I remember when I first heard about workout journals, and I thought to myself “what use is writing down stuff going to do, I remember everything anyway!”, well I chose against a workout journal, and for a long time, I didn’t succeed, I was frustrated and I wasted loads of time and money on stuff I didn’t need!

But as soon as I put the workout journal into action for me, I was shocked to discover how useful it was, and how such a small, easy task like that, suddenly boosted my growth to another dimension! How happy did I feel then? Well to be honest I felt gutted I didn’t start earlier!

I don’t want you to make the same mistake…so now you’ve decided you’re going to keep one, lets look at the best way to use it

This Is What You Should Keep Track Of…

The best things you want to keep an eye on include:

  • Your weight measurements
  • Your Body Fat Percentages
  • Your body measurements
  • Your Waking Heart Rate
  • Details of Your weight training sessions (i.e. date, which exercise, type of exercise, rest between sets, how many sets and how many reps etc)
  • Details of your cardio training (exercise, intensity and time on each exercise)
  • Details of your nutrition (what you’re eating and when)

Every time you log in your information, you’ll see how close you are getting to your final goals. This means you’re reminded each time, why you’re doing this.

That allows your mind to be completely set on achieving the body you want.

As you fill in information into your journal on a regular basis, you’ll find that if you decide that one day you want to skip your workout or meal, you’ll start to feel guilty that you can’t fill the details in.

Its like the journal becomes your guardian, looking over you, making sure you achieve results, where you just won’t want to let it down!

A good couple of examples of such problems are muscle imbalances and plateaus. You are able to spot early when you having these issues. So that means you can correct them faster and before they go majorly out of control.

I can tell you, correcting muscle imbalances when there is a huge difference in for example strength and size, can be very hard to do! Plus if you hit a plateau and keep training, you’re just wasting time and money.

So you really don’t want to reach there. The training journal solves that and gets you a ten fold better, more symmetrical looking body than the others out there.

One of the most important reasons for a training diary, is so you know where you’re at and what changes you need to make to your nutrition and workout to ensure you carry on growing.
